Born in 2002, Loren Gray is an American social media personality and singer. She is from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Having over 41.4 million TikTok followers, she is closely behind Charli D’Amelio, who is the most followed person on TikTok as of March 25, 2020. Currently, she has 3.7 million YouTube subscribers and 18.9 million Instagram followers.
Loren started by making lip-synching videos on the application called Musical.ly which is now known as TikTok in 2015. She has subsequently gained huge stardom.
The 17-year old also has a career outside of social media. She is a prolific singer and has released several albums which have received immense love from the audience.
She started dating Ian Jeffrey in 2018. Ian is the brother of internet personality and YouTube star, James Charles. He got famous after appearing in some of his brother’s YouTube videos and then started his own channel. He focused on fashion and style. He is also a model.
Loren and Ian dated for 4-6 months and then she announced her breakup with Ian through Twitter in March 2019. She said even though she and Ian are no longer together, she would continue to be there for him. She thinks that they are better as friends. Many fans had speculated this breakup and many were heartbroken by it.
For a while after their official announcement, both of them continued to follow each other on Instagram and had not deleted any of their pictures together from their feed. Interestingly, Loren did not follow Ian’s brother, James Charles.
From the surface, this breakup seemed to be very clean and mutual. But we are not so sure. As of now, Ian and Loren don’t follow each other on Instagram. So, was all the after-breakup love just a show to distract the media from the truth? Did someone get jealous or text someone they shouldn’t have?
Loren recently featured in the music video for “Million Ways” by Hrvy. He’s a fellow musician and friend who she has been paired with by their fans. Is there something cooking here? Or was this the reason for her breakup with Ian? Only time will tell, and we will keep you posted
