ABC’s hit reality show ‘The Bachelorette’ is in its 16th season now. Yet the show still manages to throw in a little surprise every now and then. After the airing of just four episodes, the producers had to go look for a new lead for the season.
The producers had to rope in Tayshia Adams as the new season lead after Clare Crawley found her ‘man of dreams’ in Dale Moss. Clare and Moss sort of fell in love with at each other right after they saw each other. The couple got engaged and left the show with just four episodes into the season.
Tayshia is not a newbie to the world of reality television. With her entry as the new season lead things will only get interesting as the season progresses.
Tayshia Adams Net Worth is around $5 Million
There’s no doubt that Tayshia’s net worth will surely boost after she gets her paychecks for ‘The Bachelorette’. A season lead for The Bachelorette on average receives around $100K.
But this won’t be the first cheque the 29-year-old reality star will get from ABC. Tayshia previously starred in two other iterations of the show, the 23rd season of ‘The Bachelor’ and the sixth season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’.
Tayshia also worked as a phlebotomist before venturing into the world of reality television. She even talked about her career as a phlebotomist during an episode of ‘The Bachelor’. In her intro video, Tayshia said:
“I’m a phlebotomist, so I actually love to poke people’s veins and draw their blood, so I’m probably looking at your veins when I first meet you”
But since then Tayshia has switched her career from phlebotomy to interior design. She also has an Instagram following of 800k followers thus earning her about $8000 for every post she makes.
All these sources of revenue put the reality TV star’s net worth somewhere between $1 Million to $5 Million.
The Unexpected Starring Opportunity on ‘The Bachelorette’
For a show that’s been going on for so long, it’s quite amusing when the show runners make the promise of delivering the most dramatic season every season.
A lot of this season’s twists and reveals are owed to Tayshia Adams. Her Bachelorette reveal is unprecedented for a number of reasons.
The current season of ‘The Bachelorette’ saw the original lead for the season Clare Crawley exit after getting engaged to Dale Moss within four episodes, making Tayshia Adams franchise’s first-ever mid-season star.
When asked about what her casting signifies with the whole BLM protests still going on, Tayshia told The Hollywood Reporter, “Not only am I African American, but I am Mexican, and I’m going to have an opportunity to have a platform to relate to so many women who look like me.”
