Whenever a relationship ends, the memories once cherished before the breakup can end up becoming a person’s worst enemies afterward. All the thoughts, stories, special moments you loved to think about, suddenly locking them all up seems a lot safer option.

It’s not to be thought of as an act of bitterness but rather an act of self-preservation. But it isn’t as easy as falling in love. It takes a lot of time and courage. For the feelings and memories are never gonna leave, but you have to accept what’s been dealt to you and move on.

Television chef and author, Sandra Lee, has been going through something similar. Her 14-year relationship with Governor Andrew Cuomo ended last year. But the 54-year-old chef has been having a difficult time dealing with the separation. Especially now that she had to finally part away with her 14th century colonial home.

Through her Instagram, Sandra expressed the sadness she is going through ever since she moved out from her Westchester County home to her new beachfront residence in Malibu. She wrote,

“Today will be one of the saddest days of my life.”

What is Sandra Lee’s net worth?

According to celebritynetworth.com, Sandra Lee has a net worth of approximately $20 Million.

The longtime girlfriend of Andrew Cuomo, the Governor of New York, Sandra Lee is a well-known television chef and author. Best known for her Food Network Semi-Homemade cooking segment, the California-born chef has amassed significant wealth.

She had served as New York’s de facto First Lady since 2011 up until her separation from Governor Cuomo last year. After Sandra created “Sandra Lee Kraft Kurtains”, a productivity tool that used a wire rack and sheets or other fabric samples to create decorative drapery, she was hired by QVC as an on-air talent. During her time with QVC, in just the first 18 months she ended up selling products worth over $20 Million.

Sandra Lee then ventured into television cooking in 2003 with her show ‘Semi-Homemade Cooking with Sandra Lee’, a show with a concept of using 70 percent pre-packaged products and 30 percent fresh ingredients. Since then she has also authored a total of 25 books.

Splitting Up with Gov. Cuomo and moving to Malibu

Back in 2015, Sandra and Cuomo had a really intense and strong bond. In fact, he even took some personal time to be with Sandra after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

This is why when the two of them announced their separation it was all the more shocking. The couple released a joint statement that read,

“Over the recent past, we have realized that our lives have gone in different directions and our romantic relationship has turned into a deep friendship.”

And though it’s been over a year since then, Sandra has been having a difficult time adjusting. She revealed that on her way to Malibu after leaving her house all she did was cry. She cried her heart out. She posted a photo of her house on Instagram and wrote,

“Today is the day that I do the final move out from Lily Pond. I love that house and I have a personal relationship with every single room of that home.”

And then a few days back she posted a series of photos of the interior of the house and wrote,

“It took me a lifetime to build that home. The home I never had when I was growing up.”
