He will be the first interim host in the series of interim hosts. Ken Jennings kicked of his first episode with a heart-moving tribute to the former host and the late Alex Trebek. In his speech and tribute, he said, “Like all ‘Jeopardy!’ fans, I miss Alex very much and I thank him for everything he did for all of us. Let’s be totally clear: No one will ever replace the great Alex Trebek. But we can honor him by playing the game he loved.” He also kept a special token in his pocket while the show was being recorded as a token of respect to Alex Trebek.

Ken Jennings was born on the 23rd of May in the year 1974 in Edmonds, Washington D.C. His father was a lawyer and he traveled around the world. Ken Jennings mainly spent most of his life growing up in Seoul, South Korea and he was a student at the Seoul Foreign School. He completed his graduation in the year 1992 with a diploma in International Baccalaureate.

He then went on to be a student at the University of Washington but after one year, he spent two years as a volunteer at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from the year 1993 to 1995. He then transferred to Brigham Young University and completed his graduation in 2000 with a double major in computer science and English Literature.

His Personal Life

Ken Jennings married Mindy and the couple currently reside in Seattle. They have two kids together; a son whose name is Dylan and a daughter whose name is Caitlin. Ken Jennings is an avid reader and enjoys comic books as well as movies and he also writes edits for Literature and Mythology for the Nation Academic Quiz Tournaments. He also was the moderator for the same tournaments in 2006 and 2009 in Chicago.

Ken Jennings also worked as a software engineer for the CHG Healthcare services which is a firm that deals with healthcare-placement in Holladay, Utah. Ken Jennings is also a member currently of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which is also known as the Mormon church and located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
