Believe it or not, this will be the 19th season of the competition series since the show first premiered in April 2011. As with many past seasons, this upcoming one is mixing it up in some major ways, mainly when it comes to the coaching lineup.
The “Hollaback Girl” Gwen Stefani is back as a coach for Season 19 of NBC’s The Voice. Joining her on the singing competition will be Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton, who will also return as coaches for the upcoming Season 19.
Nick Jonas will be replaced by Gwen Stefani; Jonas could be heading to Nevada himself.
Gwen Stefani is all set to make her comeback on the voice after Nick Jonas had replaced her in Season 18, however, Nick has been replaced and the makers of the voice have brought Gwen Stefani back to the show.
She will be seen as the coach in, the singer seemed extremely delighted to make her comeback and expressed her joy all over social media.
Stefani will be a judge alongside her boyfriend Blake Shelton, she had left the show ahead of the 18th season for a Las Vegas residency, and Nick Jonas took her spot.

Entertainment Tonight reported that Gwen Stefani would be routed to The Voice as a coach after taking a season off. This news came a month after Season 18 ended. The latest season of the show featured Jonas stepping into coaching duties for the first time. Even though the latter part of the season was filmed virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Close singer had a successful run on The Voice, with his finalist.
On social media, the leading lady declared she “cannot wait” for the new season to begin.
This announcement was bittersweet for some viewers, particularly those who were hoping to see season 18 coach Nick Jonas back in his red chair. Reacting to the news, some Nick fans said they were “very sad” and demanded that the NBC series “bring back” the Jonas brother.
Unless NBC announces a change, The Voice will air at its usual 8 p.m. ET Monday and Tuesday night time slots on NBC. If you’re unable to watch at that time or record The Voice, you can always watch full episodes on NBC.com/The-Voice the day after they air.

The Voice is also available on Hulu for subscribers. The show will be back this fall, but it’s unclear if judges will work remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
