Nerds, it’s official. Stranger Things 4 is coming. It’s happening. And now, it’s been officially revealed that Hopper, who allegedly died at the end of season 3, is ALIVE.
It’s also confirmed that Chief Hopper is the American prisoner, putting to bed several theories.
Here’s everything we know about season 4 so far, including news, spoilers and more.
‘Stranger Things 4’ Teaser
Stranger Things has introduced two teasers for Season 4 by far, also one “behind-the-scenes” glance.
The first arrived on September 30, 2019, when Netflix announced an undercover deal together with the Duffer Brothers. As part of this deal, Season 4 was a go. That is has been said; there was not much in the way of details.
The second one came on Feb. 14. Call it a love letter of sorts; the video clip showed fans that filming the new season had begun. It also affirmed what most fans had guessed: Hopper was “The American”. And existence on the Kamchatka peninsula is demanding.
Stranger Things 4 Release Date
While Netflix never revealed an official Strange Things season 4 release date, David Harbour, who plays Hopper, said during a Q&A that the series was “supposed to cut out early but has “likely ” been delayed.” The actor did, however, say that he’s no authority on these things.
Stranger Things 4 Cast
We’ll probably see most of our favourite cast members returning, hopefully with some new faces. But given what happens at the end of season 3, the cast list will have a couple of big missing pieces .
Noah Schnapp(Will), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo ( Dustin), Finn Wolfhard (Mike) and Sadie Sink (Max) will hopefully all return. Winona Ryder will also no doubt return as everyone’s favorite Stressed Mo Joye Byers.
Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer and Joe Keery, whose characters might likely be full time college students, should all return too.
Maya Hawke (Robin) will also be returning for season 4, along with Cara Buono who plays Karen Wheeler. Brett Gelman (Murray) and Priah Ferguson (Erica), have been promoted to series regular which means we’ll be seeing even more of Murray Bauman and Erica Sinclair in season 4.
Stranger Things Season 4 episode count and titles
Reports have circulated that Stranger Things season 4 will be eight episodes long, which would be consistent with season 1 and 3, though one episode behind season 2.
However, the Stranger Things script writers have since revealed that they’ve written nine episodes worth of scripts.
In a tweet, the nine scripts were shown all piled on top of one another. Fingers crossed for more rather than less.
It is more interesting to know the titles of episodes. We’ve had confirmation on the name of the Stranger Things season 4 premiere, all thanks to the show’s official writers Twitter account.
The episode is titled “ The Hellfire Club”, and alongside the image , a message reads: “Looking for new members …are you in?”
