Tracy Lauren Marrow who is more commercially known by his rap name Ice-T is a rapper singer-songwriter and producer who kick-started his career as an underground rapper. He released his debut album Rhyme Pays with the label Sire Records. He is also the co-founder of the heavy metal band called Body Count.

Growing up through a rough childhood
Ice-T was born in Newark New Jersey. He came from African – American descent. His father’s name is Solomon Marrow and his mother’s name is Alice Marrow. Growing up, Ice-T faced a lot of racism and when he was in his third grade he lost his mother to a heart attack when he was just thirteen years of age, Ice –T lost his father also to a heart attack. Ice-T was a student at Crenshaw High School which was a school that consisted of mainly black students and he stood out from his group of his friends as he was amongst the handful of students who entirely stayed away from the use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs. And although he was never a part of any gangs he was affiliated with the members.
His music started as a band in high school and by the age of seventeen, he sold cannabis and stole car stereo systems to earn enough money to pay for his rent. He then went on to join the army and trained under the 25th infantry division and it was during his time at the army training that Ice-T developed a love for the genre of Hip Hop music.
Ice-T’s life outside music
On the 20th of March in the year 1976, Ice-T along with his first girlfriend, Adrienne gave birth to their first daughter LeTesha Marrow. However, the couple split, and later Ice-T went on to date Darlene Ortiz and in 1991 on the 23rd of November, the couple had their son Ice Tracy Marrow Jr. Ice-T also has another child named Chanel who was born in 2015 to Nicole Austin the swimsuit model.
