Rochelle Paul Walensky is an American medical scientist working as a Chief in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Massachusetts General Hospital and as a professor of medicine for the Harvard Medical School. The 51-year-old scientist is an expert on HIV and AIDS.

For her education, Rochelle Walensky graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and received her MD from Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1998.

She has been working as a professor for the Harvard Medical School since 2001. Walensky was Chair of the Office of AIDS Research Advisory Council at the National Institutes of Health from 2014 to 2015.

She became a member of the US Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Antiretroviral Guidelines for Adults and Adolescents in 2011. The professor has been working day and night to stabilize the Covid situation in the United States.
