Robert Rihmeek Williams, popularly known by his stage name ‘Meek Mill‘ is an American rapper, songwriter, and activist. Mill’s lyrics about Bryant; “And if I ever lack I’m going out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.” is being perceived as insensitive and disrespectful and there’s the inevitable online movement to cancel Meek.

The rapper responded to the backlash by suggesting the masses are madly following an anti-Meek narrative. Meek tweeted; “somebody promo a narrative and y’all follow it…. y’all internet antics cannot stop me ….shit like zombie land or something! Lol“. He added it’s, “almost like mind control.” 

According to reports, Mill already has an ongoing dispute with Tekashi 6ix9ine. Along with it, he has also been criticized latterly for being a part of packed shows in Houston alongside  Bow Wow, as COVID-19 cases were rising nationwide. 

The Rapper’s Early Life

Meek Mill, 33, was born on the 6th of May in the year 1987 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. He is the son of Kathy Williams and has an old sister, Nasheema William. Apparently, Meek’s father was killed during an attempted robbery. After his father’s death, Mill, his mother, and sister shifted to North Philadelphia. Their financial condition was poor, and Mill’s mother took up various jobs to support her family. Mill during his teen years participated in various rap battles under the alias Meek Millz

Meek when he was 18 while walking to a corner store armed was arrested for illegally possessing a firearm and was beaten up by the police.
