Lionel Richie is coming back with a Concert

Richie announced an extensive UK tour of outdoor venues for summer 2021, beginning in Wrexham in June and winding up in Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens in August. In June 2020, a further date in Nottingham’s Victoria Embankment in June 2021 was announced.

Lionel Richie was due to appear at the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham on June 4 as part of his Hello tour but, due to the ongoing global pandemic, the decision was made to cancel all of his appearances.

In a statement, Lionel Richie tweeted: 

“Out of respect for the safety and well-being of the fans, ban,d, crew and event organizers and due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is confirmed that my European tour will no longer take place in 2020.

“Efforts are being made to reschedule these dates to take place in the summer of 2021 and a full list of the new dates will be shared shortly, but in the meantime please visit the individual festival/event websites for further information.”

Lionel Richie concludes the tweet by asking his fans to stay safe and that he will meet them in 2021.
