The actress Charisma Carpenter posted a statement against Joss Whedon for receiving mistreatment and abuse on the set of ‘Buffy and the Vampire Slayer and Angel’ from Whedon.
Charisma Carpenter, who played Cordelia Chase on Buffy, tweeted a statement asserting that Whedon had “abused his power on numerous occasions” and formed a “hostile and toxic work environment” while she worked with him on the set of the iconic tv show.
She stated that Whedon described her “fat” to colleagues when she was 4 months pregnant and asked her if she was “going to keep it,” and then fired her after she gave birth. Carpenter said that the incidents that took place triggered a “chronic physical condition“ that she still lives with.
