John Gretton “Jocko” Willink is a former American naval officer who served in the Navy SEALs, his years of service being 1990-2010. Jocko did his training at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado following SEAL Tactical Training(STT) and completed a six-month probationary period.
Jocko Willink served for eight years as an enlisted Navy SEAL with SEAL Team one and SEAL Team two. The SEAL officer earned his commission via Officer Candidate School and served as a platoon commander. The officer completed multiple deployments in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
