The 55-year-old started her career with LA weekly as a Freelancer business writer for $50 per article, her tv career started with an internship at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles doing small tasks before she moved to Greenville, North Carolina, to work as a reporter and anchor at WNCT-TV. She worked as an evening anchor at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis Saint Paul but she left the station in July 2004. 

The newscaster joined Fox News in 2005, She was a correspondent for the 2005 revival of A Current Affair until its cancellation in October of the same year. Her first solo news show was Fox Report Weekend from 2011-2017. In 2018, Midterm Election coverage was covered by her too, she also a substitute anchor for Shepard Smith Reporting and Martha MacCallum The Story.

She also made many guest appearances in the night satire show Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld, before the departure of Gutfeld from that show. In April 2014, Faulkner began working as one of the co-hosts on the daytime Fox News show Outnumbered. Soon after in 2017, she became the anchor of Outnumbered Overtime, which focuses more on a hard news format rather than a discussion format.

“My dad lives in Dallas. I have 11 cousins in the Dallas Metro. I, unfortunately, didn’t get to visit with anybody on that very quick, 18-hour trip, but it was a good eye-opener for me.”
