Dolly Parton brings hope through an “A Holly Dolly Christmas”

The 74-year-old singer’s new single really uplifts the soul after a year that left most people feeling low. Through “I Still Believe”, the singer talks about finding sunshine in world darkness. She said,

“This is the Christmas season coming up, but we need to carry that Christmas spirit of peace on Earth and loving one another. We need to carry that into the new year. And Lord knows, I hope next year is better than this one.”

The country music legend brought the spirit of Christmas to the television sets and the hearts of the audience through her Christmas special “A Holly Dolly Christmas”. Dolly Parton’s Christmas special aired on CBS this Sunday.

During the show, the 74-year-old singer shared some personal stories and performed to her classic tracks, and even some tracks from her new Christmas album “A Holly Dolly Christmas”

The singer was dressed up in a long-sleeved white beaded dress with a mid-thigh fringe. She performed in an intimate candlelit set and shared some of her seasonal faith-based recollections. 

Her album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. The set features 12 traditional and original jingles and features artists like Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley Cyrus, Michael Buble, Willie Nelson, Jimmy Fallon, and many more.
