Jon Watts is an American director, screenwriter, and producer, popularly known for directing Marvel superhero films. Watts directed Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home and is also set to direct the third Spider-Man film.
After graduating from the Fountain-Fort Carson High School, he went on to study film at New York University. Watts has directed movies like Clown and Cop Car and the famous parody television series, Onion News Network.

Direction Of The Spider-Man Films
Watts’ rose to prominence with his direction of the 2017 superhero film, Spider: Homecoming. In an interview with Den of Geek, Watts admitted that he had “bothered” Marvel by sending mails.
Then I just, kind of, bothered them. And everyone at Sony,” recalled Watts. “I really didn’t think I was gonna get it, until the very very end.”
He went on to direct the 2019 sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. After this, Watts had grown close to the franchise that he started his own collection of rare spiders.
Marvel’s Kevin Feige recently announced that Fantastic Four would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe for its upcoming film. At the announcement, Feige revealed that Watts would be directing the film. However, no further information apart from the Watts’ name and a teaser logo were revealed.
The revelation that Watts would be directing the film has itself got fans excited, after his two Spider-Man film successes. In the coming years, Marvel fans are all set to witness two Watts-directed films, the sequel of Spider-Man: Far From Home and the Fantastic Four film.
