Stern’s Contract Renewal With Sirius

Howard Stern’s renewal of his long-running deal with SiriusXM is expected to increase his annual salary by millions. The new deal was announced by Sirius on Tuesday and also covers an archive of audio and video of Stern for another seven years. During his live show on Tuesday, Stern said,

“Despite the naysayers and the ridicule, we have persevered and are thriving. I’ve been proven right about satellite radio over and over again. With this contract renewal, I can’t wait to see what else I’ll be right about. Certainly, I have a lot more to say about Metamucil crackers and stepmom porn. Plus, now that I can work from home, I simply don’t have an excuse to quit.”

Though financial terms have not yet been revealed, according to various sources it’s expected that with the new deal, Howard will end up getting paid $120 Million annually. In late October, Sirius reported third-quarter earnings with revenue showing improvement, growing 1% to $2 Billion.
