Amy Jean Klobuchar is an American politician serving as the senior U.S senate from Minnesota since 2007. She is also a lawyer. Amy is a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL), Minnesota’s associate of the Democratic Party, she earlier served as the Hennepin County attorney. On 10 February 2019, Amy declared her candidacy for the Democratic nomination for president of the United States in the 2020 election. She endorsed Joe Biden and suspended her campaign on the 2nd of March, 2020.

Soon to be the chairwoman of the Senate Rules Committee, she got a chance to present a speech of about 4 minutes.

Amy said that she and her husband will be amidst the small group attending an early-morning church service with Biden, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, and their spouses. After the ceremony gets over she said she would be among the group of small lawmakers who would deliver gifts to Biden and Harris. She said, “We got them Lenox vases,”.

Amy was born in Plymouth, Minnesota to her mother Rose, and father Jim Klobuchar. Her father was a columnist, journalist, and author. She graduated from Yale University and works for New York councilman Keith Powers as a legislative director.

Klobuchar married John Bessler in 1993. Her husband is a private practice attorney and a professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law. The couple shares a daughter named Abigail
