On 13th December 2020, the cast of “Elf” reunited over a live stream to raise funds for the U.S. Senate election. Comedian, Ashley Nicole Bank hosted the event. Deschanel was joined by her co-stars Will Ferrell, Ed Helms, Wanda Sykes, and others. 

Deschanel and Ferrell reprised their rendition of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” while other roles were filled by guest stars like Lithgow and Sykes. “Pod Save America” host, Jon Favreau filled in for the director, Jon Favreau, who also played a doctor in the film.

All proceeds of the livestream are earmarked toward efforts to elect Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock.
