Born on December 12, 1975, Mayim Chaya Bialik is an American actress and author. She is also a neuroscientist. She is well-known for playing the title character of the NBC 90s sitcom ‘Blossom‘ and played the title character from 1991 to 1995. She later moved to work in the CBS sitcom ‘The Big Bang Theory’ playing the role of a neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler. Bialik worked in the CBS sitcom from 2010 to 2019. Her role as Fowler won her the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and a four-time nominee for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Bialik’s first book came out in 2012 named, “Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way,”. Later in 2014, she wrote, “Mayim’s Vegan Table: More Than 100 Great-Tasting and Healthy Recipes from My Family to Yours” alongside Jay Gordon.

“I think she’d probably be a political person, meaning she’d be somehow working to make the system better,” Bialik says
In fact, she’s currently working with that show’s creator, Don Reo, to bring Blossom back to TV screens.
“[Don] and I actually do have a reboot that we have pitched, and we have not been able to get it picked up,” Bialik says, noting they already have a script. She adds that they’re “going to keep chipping away at it because we really do believe that people have an interest in what happened to those characters.”
Currently, Bialik is working on her new show Call Me Kat and the project was brought to her by Jim Parson.
