The cause of the injury happens to be Giants’ Jabrill Peppers rolling up on Allen’s leg. In Jabrill’s defense, he said “I didn’t intentionally try to leg whip him” confirming that it was a mistake and not something planned.
Allen was diagnosed with a small fracture and dislocated ankle and is scheduled for an MRI on Monday, according to NFL Network. Peppers received a 15-yard roughing-the-passer penalty on the play. We hope Allen recovers soon enough to break more record.
